Harmony's Preschool program cultivates social and emotional development and the foundation of kindergarten readiness in a beautiful, calm, inquiry- and play-based learning environment boasting teacher-to-student ratios unrivaled in greater Newburyport. Every morning—season to season—our Preschoolers enjoy an hour outdoors, exploring our Big Backyard.

Our two-year program is intentionally designed for younger children to look up to their older peers while returning Preschoolers step naturally into roles of leadership and care. Through this rhythm of being guided and then guiding others, children practice emotional self-regulation, impulse control, and personal responsibility while developing confidence, empathy, and a deep respect for their environment, peers, and teachers—foundations that prepare them for the rich learning ahead in Pre-K and beyond.

Harmony’s proprietary Enchanted Storytelling Literacy Curriculum is a cornerstone of our Preschool program. This inquiry- and play-based model expertly interconnects intellectual skills and nurtures a deep love for stories and language through oral and visual storytelling, sequencing and written word connections, numeracy concepts, science exploration, and child-led play themes. Children emerge from our Preschool program well-equipped for Pre-K & Kindergarten at Harmony or traditional Kindergarten elsewhere.

Children must be age 3 or older by September 1.
All children bring lunch and eat together.

FULL DAY: 8:50 am - 3:00 pm
